I have been cultivating cacti for about 7 years. I have a small greenhouse that houses a variety of species that flower fairly readily. I also have several Discocacti that require special conditions, most of them are still very young, but last year Disocatus Bahiensis did manage to produce a large crop of flowers, it was very exciting. Here are some photos of some of them in flower. I occasionally have seedling cacti which I would be happy to swop for something I haven't got or sell for a nominal sum, (to put in the chartiy box). As a novice I would welcome any corrections to the labeling of the plants shown. I keep my plants in a mainly cold greenhouse, but put on a small heater when the temperature is near zero. The Disocacti live in a heated propagator on a window sill during the winter and this seems to suit them very well.

I have had this Mammillaria Rubrograndis for 7 years it was one first plants that I acquired, I bought it from a garden centre. From what I have read, they do not flower in this country. So I was very excitied when this one did. It had 10 flowers in all, they were appox. 2 inches across
